Mastaba Tomb
People
in ancient Egypt buried the corpes in the Mastaba tombs. The Mastaba tomb is a
chamber beneath the ground level to bury the corpse and above the ground there
is a structure of a huge rectangle bricks and woods putting in layers into
pyramid shape. The way Egyptian people buried the dead is a lot more
complicated than other regions do, for example Thai people. In the past
when Thai people buried the corpse by making a hole into the ground, cover the
surface then leave the corpse to be rotten. Otherwise they would burn the
corpse in the fire as the original tradition. The reason why Egyptian
people put the corpse in the chamber and build massive partition of bricks and
woods might be they need to prevent the deceased that comes along with the
rotten flesh. From my perspective point of view, the ancient Egyptian have been
a good role model for other regions to be more thoughtful and be more
responsibility on the natural circumstances, organize the dead bodies, that
might cause the danger to the living.
